I used to think the top environmental problems were biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change. I thought with 30 years of good science we could address those problems. But I was wrong. The top environmental problems are selfishness, greed and apathy...and to deal with those we need a spiritual and cultural transformation - and we scientists don’t know how to do that.”

Core Leadership Path of Praxis

The Core Leadership Path of Praxis is for changemakers who want to move from stress to flow by co-creating new ways of relating, living and working. The transformational journey begins by aligning with our core so we can be true to ourselves. Leading from the core empowers us to show up, build authentic relationships and co-create conditions for thriving, together.

Humanity is facing many challenges. We have comprehensive global goals for sustainable development, yet we are not reaching our milestones or targets. There is a very large gap between our vision and current reality. We are being called to change how we do change by expanding to include our inner work. The inner development goals and LEADS framework identify the collective capacities and skills required to face and work effectively with complex challenges so we can thrive, together.

Together, we will embody leadership as a path of praxis so we can experience more energy, collaboration and innovation as we co-create conditions for personal and planetary wellbeing.

The 5 fold path for co-creating change:

1.     Embody love: Be the leader of your life in a way that cultivates being true to who you are so you can lead self. Cultivate conditions to expand your presence with integrity, aligned with your core values and expanded in your joy so you can experience more creativity and presence.

2.     Clarify direction: Lean into the challenges, address the old narratives of domination culture, liberate from old patterns and expand your awareness, perspectives and thinking. “Do your work” toward systems transformation with more clarity and peace

3.    Cultivate connection: Shine your light in a way that engages commitment, builds partnership and develops coalitions. Expand your capacity to mobilize knowledge by connecting to the wisdom and wholeness within yourself, team and nature so you can feel more compassion and partnership.

4.     Adapt in action: Enable change and build adaptive capacity by acting. Strengthen capacity to learn by doing in a way that expands your resilience and achieves results. Co-create conditions for change by shifting from fear to humility so you can keep going with courage and prosperity.

5.     Co-create community: Lead from the core so you can engage participation, expand collaborating and facilitate healthy learning environments. Connect with the seasonal cycles of change and rhythms of the earth so you can experience more trust and expand connection with the planet.

"The moment we choose to love, we begin to move against domination, against oppression. The moment we choose to love, we begin to move towards freedom, to act in ways that liberate ourselves and others."

Co-create Community

We are nature. Wellbeing is our core essence.

When we see ourselves as creative, resourceful and whole co-creators, we more easily prioritize wellbeing, and allow ourselves to experience more aliveness, engagement and trust. When we align our choices with planetary wellbeing, like eating more plants, choosing active transportation, consciously investing our money and following joy, we expand fulfillment by saying YES to the flow of nature within us. Choosing to prioritize choices aligned with our values is not selfish, it is a radical act of LoVe - Living Our Values Everyday.

The Joy Leadership Path of Praxis is rooted in the ancient wisdom of Kundalini Yoga, the Celtic Wheel of the Year and circles. I am grateful for the guidance of my ancestors, the teachers who have come before me and the earth for illuminating the cyclical path of change and the nature of transformation.

  • Activate your wellbeing so you can shine your light.

  • Liberate from patterns of the past so you can have more energy.

  • Create your life, your way in connection with conscious community.

  • "I have grown in my leadership confidence and presence – I rate my self-confidence over 50% higher than it was coming into my coaching and my ability to learn from my mistakes and then let go of the worrying and move onwards has grown so much. I feel free to be my authentic self and trust my own judgement. My advice for anyone working with Cathryn is lean in, go deep and be vulnerable and it will set you free."

    Lindsey Sprigens, DIrector, Fraser Health

  • “Cathryn is a powerful guide, mentor and ally on the path to becoming a more authentic, embodied and mature social justice leader. She supported me to explore how white supremacy lives within me, how to reclaim a more honest understanding of my ancestry, and guided me through the journey of stepping beyond patterns of perfectionism and invisibility to living, working and leading from a holistic space that honours more of who I am."

Alison Kathleen Burkett, Manager, Community Learning Hub

  • “Cathryn’s support empowered me to build the confidence to move from possibility to action. She facilitates spaces that invite: curiosity, self awareness, compassion and a sense that we are all part of a much larger community.”
